Cribbage Sudoku Rules & Scoring
This page covers every scoring rule used in Cribbage Sudoku. Each row and column is scored as a cribbage hand with the starter card included.
Card Values

| 2 through 10 | Face value |
| Jack, Queen, King | 10 |
Scoring Combinations
Fifteens (2 points each)
Any group of cards whose values add up to exactly 15 scores 2 points. A single hand can contain multiple fifteens.
Example: 5-5-5-K = three fifteens (each 5 + K = 15) = 6 points
Pairs (2 points each)
Two cards of the same rank score 2 points.
- Pair (two of a kind) = 2 points
- Three of a kind (pair royal) = 6 points (three pairs)
- Four of a kind (double pair royal) = 12 points (six pairs)
Runs (1 point per card)
Three or more cards in consecutive rank order score 1 point per card in the run. Suit does not matter.
Example: 3-4-5 = 3 points Example: 3-3-4-5 = two runs of three (3-4-5 twice) = 6 points
Flushes (1 point per card)
If all cards in a row or column are the same suit, score 1 point per card. If the starter card also matches, score an additional point.
Nobs (1 point)
A Jack in your hand that matches the suit of the starter card scores 1 point.
Scoring in Cribbage Sudoku
In the game, each row and each column is scored independently using the rules above. The starter card is included in every hand. Your total score is the sum of all row scores and column scores.
The game calculates scores automatically — but understanding these rules helps you plan better card placements. Knowing that a pair of 5s is worth 2 (pair) + 2 (fifteen, 5+5+5=15? No, 5+10=15) helps you prioritize where cards go.
